The DSC (Deep to Shallow Concave) model is based on a winning formula that
creates immense speed and hold through turns. A slight single to double
concave with a smooth rocker, low soft rails and rounded pin tail to handle
the extra power and speed. This board is your step up board for surf in
the 5-8ft range. For 2009 we are increasing the double concave depth slightly
through the back half of the bottom, along with a little more width in
the plan shape at the nose area. Fins are moved forward as well, producing
a faster freer feel to accommodate the modern approach to surfi ng in bigger
waves. For the “DOUBLE STEP UP” board there is vee from half way through
to the tail. The bottom formula is slight single concave up front going
to double concave through to the vee apex, which is around the forward
nose area. The vee then fades out to fl at at the rounded pin tail. The
longer the board or larger the surf the less concave and more vee applied
through the DSC range. |

performance. Extra width and a deep single concave helps this board to carry
over dead sections, whilst still fi tting securely in the pocket. Best if ridden

The IP is basically an Interceptor but with a swallow tail and deeper single concave with a little vee out the tail. You surf this board 2” shorter than your regular performance thruster and 1/4 - 1/2” wider with the same to a 1/16” thicker. The swallow gives the board a little more bite and hold on the face. This model will surf in slightly bigger surf than you would expect the interceptor to. In other words 1 - 6’ beach breaks a good option for the Sydney area, Sunshine Coast or Perth etc |

A hybrid with all the performance aspects of a short board. A fuller nose
combined with a single to double concave, produces a board that catches
waves easily, but still performs with speed and responsiveness. The Mollusc
can be ridden with a swallow or a round tail. Simon recommends a round
tail for connecting deep carving turns on the face, in good waves. For
the larger size boards 6’5 and above or wider than 20 1/4” there is an
added vee through the bottom half on the bottom of the board. This added
vee assists with rail to rail transitions. The Mollusc is ideal for small
waves up to 5ft. |
